When GB left the EU, we put our own laws in place about the approval and regulation of poisonous substances. The GB approvals register has 448 products licensed for use in GB, of which since leaving EU 179 have had their use extended (though the EU banned the use of some) and 2 have been added. In different combinations of those active ingredients over 1300 products can be used legally in GB and NI (some only in GB or NI).

15 types of ‘Roundup’ Glyphosate weedkiller herbicide are licensed for use as herbicides in the UK. This despite severe concerns about their use and damage to human health. Obviously being smaller and developing faster, children are most at risk from these chemicals that are designed to interfere with processes inside living things.

Roundup also make products clearly labelled “Glyphosate free” – which is instructive!
